The Album is complete and Gero the lead
singer was In Noumea for a week to complete it's recording with more touches to it.
The Album went out on the streets today 9th August 2004. Along with the release is the
Video Clip for the first track on that album. I've heard all the songs and they sound very
Naio. This time unlike the ones before, the songs are more slow reggae but distinctly
Naio. I've got a few favourites on this album like Reality and Mother Africa. Beeman
Wilson helped out on this album. I still haven't been able to put up a picture of the live album in Noumea, New Caledonioa on their last trip.
Beeman Wilson, who's left Naio, has released solo album
"Our Song". The feel is mellow and reggae. I heard some of those songs during
the "La fete de la Musique" at the Market complex in Vila and they were quite
good. I think track 8 was sung by Vanessa Quai (another local big time artist). Beeman has
been playing long and he heads the younger boys who call themselves Aimos Band. Well
this is a suprise but I'm also working on one. No promises as yet as Kava takes up more of
my time than trying to complete it. Zachariah (Zyaga) is working with me on this album,
more towards guitar sounds and Zyaga's arrangements. You'll just have to wait. :-)
